This little girl made me work for every single pose, but such a cutie. I was in love with her full little lips and silky hair.

So I know what everyone must be thinking… and unfortunately it’s true. I am the worst blogger ever. But I have officially decided to make it my new year’s resolution to blog every session, and make at least one post a week. We’ll see how long I make it, but I have every intention of keeping it up.

So many changes have happened this year. I cannot be thankful enough for the blessings I have received over the course of just a few months. This time last year I had no idea where my business was going or even if it would continue. But thankfully a string of entirely coincidental meetings and I am better than ever. I have joined up with a great bunch of ladies and business owners at Second Story here in Knoxville to promote my portraits and become a part of a wonderful blog called Parenting Daily Times that will make it’s debut in January.

I have also teamed up with Shannon Kelley of Shannon Kelley Photography as owner of Studio 317. It’s a great opportunity that gives local photographers the ability to rent out studio space as needed for a great price. She has been so awesome and inspiring to me when I needed it most. I couldn’t have made it thus far without her. I have been busier than ever with so many wonderful newborns this year. I began this crazy journey of newborn photography in February and it is so surprising to see how far I’ve come. I could have never even gotten started if it hadn’t been for the Kelley Ryden / Tracy Raver workshop this past winter. They are truly masters at what they do.

I hope to make 2011 even better. I hope that I never feel that my work is good enough the way it is and always strive to learn from others. I am thankful for the great friends I have picked up along the way and hope to make many more in the coming year! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all that may.. or may not be following the blog. But those of you who are, expect lots more to come :)

I’m very excited to announce that I will be joining Becky of Blue Luna Photography and Shannon Kelley of Shannon Kelley Photography as co-owner of the new Studio 317. Studio 317 is knoxville’s newest resource for photographers to rent out studio space by the hour. Not to mention a great place to meet with clients and just gather for anything and everything. We are in the process of getting the redesigned website up and running and can’t wait to post more updates!! Stay tuned…

Baby Braxton has been my smallest one yet, coming in at just under six pounds… but what a cutie! He did wonderful and let me try out a couple of my new props. I hope to get time to edit his entire session very soon, but for now here is a little sneak peek!

Everyone always asks the same question before a session… What do we wear. Here are a few of my favorite places to shop for session clothes as well as some recommendations of some of the cutes collections that they have to offer this summer. Here are a list of the websites to browse when thinking about your next session:

Crewcuts – www.crewcutkids.com

Rock n Sprouts – www.rocknsprouts.com

Gap – www.gapkids.com

Gymboree – www.gymboree.com

The Children’s Place – www.childrensplace.com

Whoever says there are so many more cute clothes for girls than boys was totally wrong about this Season. Mother’s  of boys get ready – This is some of the cutest stuff i’ve seen in a while. Hope you find something useful!!
